My name is Juan Diego Pérez la Cruz, I'm a Venezuelan architect and artist who recently moved to Minnesota. My work can be summed up as an exercise in memory. I work with my body, video and photography to create a personal approach to conceptual work.

For this exhibition I am presenting a video performance called a ella la recuerdo / I remember her. This piece shows how we can rebuild a lost memory, using part of my family photo album.

Right now I'm working on a few projects about memory and territory from an immigrant’s perspective, where the focus is on the idea of home, and other projects about how we could represent ourselves it the public space.

You can find a broad look at my work in my Instagram page @perez.la.cruz or check this video on my YouTube channel https://youtube/m_Yg5eak1-0.
